Flurbiprofen.
Description
Each plaster contains Flurbiprofen 20 mg.
Indications/Uses
For relief of the pain and inflammation of the following conditions or symptoms: Osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, tendonitis, RSI (repetitive strain injury), tennis elbow, muscle pain, a swelling and pain after external injury.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult: Apply one plaster to the affected area, twice daily.
Contraindications
Patients who have hypersensitivity with this medicine or other flurbiprofen medicine.
Patients who have or had Aspirin-induced asthma. (Asthma attack caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).)
Special Precautions
Consult a doctor or a pharmacist before use, if patients have bronchial asthma.
General: The therapy with NSAIDs is not a causal treatment but a symptomatic therapy.
Since skin infection can be masked, if the patient uses this patch for inflammation with infection, use in combination with appropriate antibiotics or antimycotics and observe closely and administer carefully.
If the patient uses this medicine for chronic disease (osteoarthritis etc.), the patient should consider other therapy besides medication. Observe the patient closely and give attention to side effects.
Others: Do not use on damaged skin or mucous membranes.
Do not apply to eczema or rash area.
Apply after wiping the sweat off the application area.
Use in Children: Safety in children has not been established.
Use in Elderly: Apply to the elderly cautiously considering skin condition of adhesive area.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
The safety in pregnant women has not been established. Therefore, this medicine should be administered to pregnant women or women suspected of being pregnant only when the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks.
Adverse Reactions
Discontinue to apply this plaster immediately and consult a doctor or a pharmacist in case of: Patients who have allergic symptoms like rash, redness, itching, skin irritation, burning sensation, skin detachment after applying this plaster.
Patients who have symptoms like moist rale, stridor, dyspnea appear. (Asthma attack can occur within a few hours after attaching this plaster.)
Storage
Store at room temperature (1~30°C) in a light-resistant tight container.
Shelf-Life: 3 years from manufacturing date.
